As you’ve seen in the news in the past few days, the radioactive contamination in fish tested from the Fukushima area is in some cases 285 times higher than the government safety standard. I can assure you that I am not selling any fish from this area, either in the restaurant or via Andy’s Fish.
The Japanese government has also put out a bacterial alert on hirame (fluke) and swordfish. For this reason, both hirame and swordfish will also be removed from the menu at Shin Hinomoto and will also not be available for sale on Andy’s Fish.
Fortunately we have plenty of safe fish to choose from. Hope to see and hear from you all!
