Scallops on the Rise
They are really back - and BIG! Scallops are back and big.
For Hokkaido scallop lovers, the news is getting better. In 2010, there was a fear that Hokkaido scallops had been all but decimated due to the rising temperature of the ocean around Hokkaido. The stocks were not anticipated to be replenished until 4 years later.
In 2012, scallops were ready to be seared! They were more available but the size was much smaller than 2 years earlier. The taste of course, remains the same.
2013 - they're bigger than ever - Enjoy at home or in the restaurant!
